QuickCal+ Privacy Policy
QuickCal+ is a tool for adding appointments to the calendars already on your Android phone. It is built so that your information stays on your phone.
The short version
- QuickCal+ does not collect, store, sell or share any of your information with the developer or anyone else.
- The app has no internet access, no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking.
- Everything you save in the app stays on your phone.
What the app uses, and why
Your calendars (calendar permission). QuickCal+ reads the list of calendars on your phone so you can choose where an appointment goes, and adds the appointments you create, along with their reminders and invitees. If you use “Build lists from calendar,” it reads the titles, locations, colors and times of past events on your phone to suggest appointment names. That information is never sent anywhere by QuickCal+. Appointments you add are synced to your calendar provider (for example Google) by your phone's own calendar sync, the same way as appointments you add in any calendar app. That is governed by your provider's privacy policy.
Contacts (only the one you pick). When you choose “From contacts,” Android's own contact picker opens and shares only the single contact you tap. QuickCal+ does not have permission to read your contact list.
Your saved lists. Categories, saved appointments (names, addresses, phone numbers, usual length), saved people and email groups are stored privately on your phone by the app.
Invitations
If you add people to an appointment, their email addresses are added to that calendar event. Your calendar provider (such as Google Calendar) may then send them an invitation from your account. QuickCal+ itself does not send email.
Backups
- Backup files you create. “Back up lists” saves a file to the location you choose (such as your phone storage, Google Drive or Nextcloud). That file is yours, and QuickCal+ does not upload it anywhere else.
- Android device backup. If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include QuickCal+'s saved lists in your personal device backup with your Google account, as it does for most apps.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling QuickCal+ deletes everything the app has stored. Events you added stay in your calendar until you delete them there.
Children
QuickCal+ is a general productivity app and is not directed at children.
